A Trade Show Booth, Staying Fresh

When it comes time to set up a trade show booth, there are several things you're going to need to do in advance of the tradeshow in order to make sure that it goes well. Of course, many business owners do go to tradeshows hoping to increase business but wind up frustrated, extremely tired, and burned out. There are ways that you can avoid this by being as prepared as possible and winding up at your tradeshow ready to meet new consumers and do business.

It's vital that your attitude during a tradeshow remains open, friendly and excited about your business. If you get too tired, you lose focus and start showing a grumpy face to the world. No one wants to come up and talk to somebody who looks grumpy, therefore it's vital that you are fresh every time you're behind your trade booth exhibit.

If you have planned ahead for your tradeshow, you will know that all of the paperwork has been filled out, know where to find power and water, and have your trade show booth exhibit set up in plenty of time. The morning of your trade show, you're going to arrive fresh as a daisy because of a good nights sleep. This means then that not only do you need to plan for the tradeshow, but you also need to make travel plans. Arrive the day before your tradeshow, set up your exhibit, and make sure you're out of the building early enough to get a good nights sleep. Make sure that you can get up early and get something to eat well before the tradeshow starts. This may mean taking sleep aids like melatonin in order to combat jet lag or fatigue. Get to bed early enough to be bright and bushy tailed.

Also, remember that you cannot work 12 to 15 hours on a concrete floor and stay with a happy face. This means that you're going to need breaks out of your trade booth, so looking to hiring locals perhaps to give you a break once in a while. Otherwise, you are going to be so fatigued and sore that your attitude is not going to be a good one. Better yet, make sure that there are two of you available for the tradeshow, it's well worth paying one of your employees to come with you to make sure that the face that confronts your consumer is always a happy one.

You will also want to remember that dehydration is a factor in these types of buildings. Usually, the air system is not moisturized, which means you're losing more fluid than you think you are. The first sign of dehydration is a headache and achy body, and many begin to lose focus. Make sure you have a cooler full of water or other drinks, and don't forget regular eating habits.

By planning ahead for your tradeshow booth, you will have adequate time to take care of yourself and maintain a fresh appearance throughout the show.
